A Languid Morning

I woke up at 5:15, but didn’t get up until half past seven.

I still feel an ache in my waist, and doesn’t want to do anything.

Every time when I was in such a languid mood, I would long for a cup of coffee, which is always warm and giving energy. Yet, I have told myself, I will not drink coffee in Fudan.

I think I should try to pull myself together.

I should wash face to wake my mind up.
I should have hot cereal for breakfast.
I should work hard to add my confidence.

Stand away from Literature

Now, I feel fortunate that I have not majored in literature.

Today I spent a whole afternoon reading a short story. I didn’t like that story but just wasted my time finishing reading and didn’t know why. I think literature is something that makes one indulge in. It is like water, or exactly speaking, flood, which drowns readers.

I would rather choose to stand on the bank and see the water come and go.

Life is a River

When I was in high school, I came across an article which said that life is a river.

We march forward everyday to seek for a place where we belong. One day we think we have found the place, but then we change our idea and left and continue seeking for a new place. Therefore, life is like a river, which is always flowing forward and looking for some special terminal.

On the morning of October 2, 2009, my river arrived here. I don’t know whether this is the place I have been looking for, but I am sure I will stay here for some time.

I hope this is a place which will witness how I arrive at the Foreign Ministry of China.

And I always believe all my dreams can come true!
